Drew and daddy did sneak out of the house to the Newport Aquarium for a bit. Daddy is spending as much father-son time as he can before returning to work. They are pretty inseparable these days, which is such a wonderful thing. Apparently they had a fun time in a nearly empty aquarium and then had lunch together at LaRosa's where they shared a coagy aka "Drew's version of a hoagy".
Tomorrow is Drew's second day of preschool. I still think it's unreal that my baby is in school and don't know if it has fully sunken in. I did make his teachers a little gift tonight to thank them for making his first day so great. I think as a teacher myself, I know how rewarding it is to just get a simple thank you, especially in the first exhausting week back!
So it's off to bed to dream about tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm when I get another two full days to soak up some family time.
Teacher Gifts
Swedish Fish Gift for Ms. Nancy
Chocolate Bar Gift for the Teacher's Aides
P.S. Teacher Friends: Wouldn't these tags with the Swedish fish be adorable for the end of the year. You could put "You are o"fish"ally a second grader!" Just a thought!
