Dear Grandpa,
There are many things I loved about you. I loved the fact that you cherished family and being together. I loved that no matter how bad you felt, you still made it your priority to be with us. I loved watching movies with you, playing out in the yard while you worked, going to church and breakfast with you. I loved how proud you were to be an Italian and those loud colors you wore. I loved how much you enjoyed the holidays and how your house was always decorated to perfection. (Wonder where mom got it?) I loved how much you loved my boys and how your voice sounded when you said their names. I loved how you had a quiet way of letting everyone close, know you loved them too.
I hope that you are now at peace, golfing, gambling and gimleting away! Please look over us and we'll look up to you.
So Farewell for now Grandpa (Pops Nick). We love you!
P.S. I came home from your funeral to find out someone stole my check card and used it for their Christmas shopping. Can you have a talk with God and tell him there is only so much a girl can handle in a day?
