Washington D.C., 2017

This year I don't get a Spring Break.  Technically they named the whole two days they gave us for a long weekend a break, but to me that's a "Fake Break".   There wasn't much we could do with those few days, so we decided we would take a little trip to Washington D.C.   The boys have been wanting to go and we figured they were finally old enough.  So the bad parents we are, we pulled our kids out of school and drove to D.C. for 4 days.  Below are some pictures from our trip.

Day 1 (Arlington, Police Memorial, Ford's Theatre and American History Museum, The Archives)

Rubbing Pops Tom's friend's name at the Police Memorial.

 Day 2
(The White House, Memorials, Natural History Museum, Air and Space Museum and Native American Museum)
On this day I literally had the Proclaimers song "Gonna Be (500 Miles)" in my head several times that day.  We walked over 10 miles and saw a ton.  It was a good day!

Landon is pretty sure he blends right in with these Wright Brothers.

Day 3
Mt. Vernon

And now we're back. Ready for a cold week in Cincinnati.  Back to the grind until our next adventure.
