Thank goodness mommy started her weekend with a wine tasting with some best buds, because the chaos that was the rest of the weekend was just a "little bit" easier to take. On Sunday we celebrated 4 fabulous years with Mr. Drew. We had everyone come to the Cheesecake Factory for a yummy lunch and birthday cake and took the kids to Build-a-Bear! We left with two dogs, a monkey and owl in tow.
Then today we met our first big challenge as parents. We let total strangers take our sleepy baby and do surgery. Now, I know that there are kids who have gone through much more, and parents who have endured much worse, but watching your scared baby go back for surgery isn't easy. He came out crying, groggy and not knowing where he was but after a long morning nap, seems to be back to "almost" normal.
